Yay, I've started a blog. There's much to see here and a lot more story to come! Yes, there are a lot of mom blogs - and I plan to zero in on my niche, which is - I used to work in Advertising and am transitioning into education. I’m married, a proud born-and-bred Chicagoan, writer, and, to top it all off, I’m on a natural weight loss journey, walking back from 299.1 to 219. I’m 6 feet tall and wear a size 12 shoe (so big things popping over here), and did I mention I’m Black, yup, African (I’ve got my DNA test to back it up) American. The mother lode is a term created during the Gold Rush. You know, like in an oldie western movie when a miner pans for gold. That is cool, but when they hit the Motherlode, they’ve struck gold and turn into a tycoon. I’m a researcher/writer/edu who looks for and blogs about the motherlode of culture, including lifestyle, wellness, and the main vein of travel!
